In the run up to this trip I have been asked if I am going to Bali, Malawi and Malia. In fact on Sunday I am heading to Bamako, Mali. Even I confused it with Malawi at the beginning, so it is with slight trepidation that I start my 3 month adventure with the International Citizen Service to West Africa. Nonetheless, the prospect of sunshine (and showers), speaking French again, music and seeing new things is exciting. Im going to be living in the capital city working for the Malian NGO l’Association Jeunesse Actions Mali for 3 months but more on that later.
I’ll be using my blog to tell you of my adventures and make you jealous with lots of photos! I hope you enjoy it!
For now its back to packing.
